Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease can be physically challenging, emotionally draining and isolating. Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation and Page Robbins Adult Day Center are partnering to offer a free event for caregivers. The Alzheimer’s Caregiver’s Survival Guide will provide the following for caregivers, family members and health care providers:
- Strategies for improving communications and managing behaviors when caring for a person living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of memory loss
- Practical advice and tips on how to keep your loved one safe
- Insight on the latest research on mild cognitive impairment, and new treatments and programs to improve care for your affected loved ones
- Information on local resources and support services
